Lesson 26: NCLEX Lab Values

Unfortunately I don't have any fancy way of remembering these values; you just have to commit them to memory. It will be worth it because you will use this information everyday.

Magnesium=1.5-2.5
Phosphorus=1.8-2.6
Sodium=135-145
Chloride=95-105

RBCs=4-6 million

Platelets=150,000-450,000

Urine pH=5.0-9.0
Urine specific gravity=1.001-1.035

Nursing Tips:

Remember abnormal lab values require further assessment
May indicate infection, toxicity, or certain medications not being therapeutic
